Study Design

Data regarding the concomitant use of these medications has not been studied and the information presented here stems from theoretical interactions based on known mechanisms of metabolism described in the review article below.

Study Results

The concomitant use of these medications has not been studied and recommendations are based on theoretical mechanisms of interactions.

Study Conclusions

Although no clinical data are currently available, voriconazole inhibit the metabolism of nevirapine and whereas its own metabolism may be induced by nevirapine. As a result, patients should be carefully monitored for NNRTI toxicity and reduced antifungal efficacy of voriconazole during coadministration of voriconazole and NNRTIs
