Summary

The combination of nelfinavir and beta-carotene 25,000 IU BID was studied in nine HIV-infected patients to evaluate a potential drug interaction. There was no difference in nelfinavir or M8 concentrations before or after the addition of beta-carotene despite in vitro data suggesting otherwise [98].
