Summary

The Cmax of rosiglitazone, a CYP2C8 probe, was unaffected by co-administration of atazanavir or atazanavir + ritonavir. Exposure to rosiglitazone was increased by co-administration of atazanavir 400mg daily and decreased by co-administration of atazanavir + ritonavir 300mg/100mg daily. ATV is classified as a weak CYP2C8 inhibitor and ritonavir as a CYP2C8 inducer.
